Regina Garcia began her lifelong romance with photography at fourteen when her father handed her her first camera. Portraiture quickly became her obsession. Strangers who intrigued her were shyly asked to look into her lens, her camera becoming an all-access pass into the new and interesting lives of others.
After studying at the Alberta University of the Arts, she arrived in Toronto, a city as layered and alive as the people she photographs, to build a career in commercial photography, finding her niche in portraiture, lifestyle, and landscape. Known for bringing warmth and genuine connection to every set, Regina has a gift for making people feel at ease, drawing out the kind of natural, unguarded moments that can't be staged. Her work is invitingly sunny and full of authentic emotion, each image alive with strength of personality and that distinctly Canadian generosity of spirit: grounded, open, and quietly stunning.
Challenging herself to craft powerfully authentic imagery, Regina strips away the excess to capture something all too rare: easy, natural photography that elevates 'simple' to an enticing art form.
